Abby & Daniel
Abby & Daniel
I met Daniel at a small gathering. It was nothing unusual, just a group of friends getting together. Rosie my sister and I happened to be invited along with Jonathan, our dancing friend. It was here we met, that's all. Something must have struck Daniel about me though because just a week or two later after getting my number from Jonathan he started texting me. I have to be honest I was surprised and not too sure how I should respond as I could hardly remember him at this stage!
The first time I saw Abby, I was told to stop staring. I was at a friends going away party when Abby walked in. I quickly learnt she liked to eat, as she headed straight for the food. I also learnt she was a dancer. So I put some music on and started to dance, it wasn't long before Abby, her sister Rosie and Jonathan joined me. They all started doing the exact same dance while looking into the ranch slider doors to see their reflection and while I found this pretty funny, I was intrigued.
The next day I acquired Abbys number off Jonathan.

From then on, Abby and Daniel started hanging out, going on summer road trips with friends and getting to know each other. They became good friends and when Abby went to Melbourne; for dance, they kept in touch via constant letters and phone calls.
On Abbys moving back to NZ it was natural for Daniel and Abby to get together. However after leaving high school Abby decided to study in Dunedin. And with the thought of spending even more time apart Daniel made the decision to start saving to buy a house there, if they lasted the year. It was a hard year apart but their love and commitment prevailed. The next year Daniel moved to Dunedin and they made a home. Two years later he proposed and now after a beautiful wedding they look forward to building a strong and lifelong marriage.
